Currently there are TWO learning awards which would earn a student the maximum of US$10 as highlighted below:
- Early finisher in the below courses will be rewarded with US$5:
- BCMIP1 : completion within 120 days
- BCMIP: completion within 180 days
- Those who attain an average of at least 60% in the average total quiz score for the computed scores of Interim Quiz and Final Quiz will also be given US$5 reward. The formula is (Interim Quiz Score + Final Quiz Score)/2.
The average total quiz score will be rounded up to the nearest integer via half round up method. So 59.51 and 59.50 will be rounded up to 60 but 59.49 will be rounded to 59.
All the learning rewards will be accumulated until the Final Quiz and transfer to the student henceforth. The Instructor will send an email to the student’s registered email account on the system to detail the payment. The student must reply to the Instructor on his/her Paypal account upon receiving his email so that he knows which account to do the transfer. For Singapore student, he/she must inform the Instructor if he/she wants the reward to be in Singapore currency.
The student is required to have a Paypal account for the money transfer.
Learning Rewards in SGD
Those who are residing in Singapore could request for the learning reward to be denominated in Singapore currency.
The exchange rate will follow the end -of-the-day exchange rate on the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) website at https://secure.mas.gov.sg/msb/ExchangeRates.aspx. The date when the Final Quiz is taken will be used to determine the exchange rate based on MAS’s records.
Because MAS’ records are for weekdays only, so if the Final Quiz is taken on a weekend, then the immediate Friday’s exchange rate before the weekend will be used. If the day is a Singapore public holiday and also a weekday, then the previous day’s exchange rate will be used.
There is no rounding up for the exchange rate as the Instructor will forgo those digits after two decimal places (if they exist). For example, the exchange rate of USD/SGD was 1.3833 on Jul 22, 2020 and suppose a Singapore student had taken the Final Quiz on that date and his accumulated rewards was US$10. So he/she will receive 1.3835 x 10 = S$13.83 instead of S$13.84.
Similar to USD rewards, the student is required to have a Paypal account for the SGD money transfer.
